PERSONALITY

Anna's personality is one that would take great pride in. She’s quite loyal, sticking by her friends though whatever life might throw at them and courageous by sticking up for what she believes in, no matter what the cost. Anna is also quite the intellect, loving to read, mostly The Daily Prophet and Quidditch Through the Ages whenever she gets the chance. She tries not to be perfect, and if one was to say she was, she would be the first to point out her imperfections. Her mind is quick to make up, making her more intuitive following her heart than thinking things through. She is quite the extrovert as well, and has proven it when her mouth used to get her into trouble at school. She's very anti-Dark Arts and all that it entails, and if she was ever faced with using an Unforgivable Curse or death, she’d die to protect her friends and family.

HISTORY

Anna Marie Henderson was born on June 16th, 1962 at 1:03 pm in a Muggle hospital in London, to McKenzie and Anthony Henderson, who both worked in Diagon Alley, McKenzie at Flourish and Blotts, and Anthony at Quality Quidditch Supplies. By the time she was six, she stopped having her maternal grandparents watch her, and went with McKenzie to her job. While McKenzie worked, she would get books off the shelves and read to herself, though she really didn’t understand what she was reading until she was nine. Her mother bought her a book to take home, and commented to Anthony one night that Anna could walk and read the book at the same time. The family lived in a half-Muggle, half-wizarding neighborhood.

When Anna was approaching her tenth birthday, she was always being teased for reading so much, and not playing with the other children. An eleven year old Muggle born boy named Ian Fontana was the cause of Anna’s first verbal fight with anybody. She was so upset that she threw the book down and stormed over to him, yelling at him to stop teasing her and leave her alone. When McKenzie and Anthony found out about what she had done, they punished Anna, and walked over to Ian’s home, where they found the boy sitting on the steps leading to the door, very upset. McKenzie and Anthony had no choice but to tell him that their daughter was being punished for the argument. Ian explained to them that it was his fault that he shouldn’t have made fun of Anna, and wanted to be friends with her. The parents agreed that Ian could come over and apologize to her. When he did, Anna accepted the apology and the two quickly became the best of friends. She kept her secret about her being a witch from him, until two days before her eleventh birthday, when McKenzie and Anthony gave her permission to tell. When Anna did speak of Hogwarts and her secret to Ian, he was amazed, and wanted to know all about it. She had experienced her first best friend, loyalty and all, and nothing could take that away from her. The two are still friends today, but see less and less of each other when she comes home for winter holiday and for the summer as well.

When she turned eleven, her owl with the letter from Hogwarts arrived, and her parents couldn’t have been prouder to know that their daughter was going the same path they did several years before. The family went to Diagon Alley the next day, and bought her everything the next day, having the best. When the day came for Anna to go to Platform 9 3/4 , she was quite nervous, but slowly overcame the nervousness when her parents gave her a silver necklace with a heart locket inscribed Anna, we’re so very proud of you. Love, your Ravendor parents. Since that day she has never took it off, and continues to make them proud, no matter what the circumstances.

Anna was sorted into Gryffindor in September of 1973, despite having Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin qualities as well. The first two years of her education were quite nerve-racking, letting Anna have almost a non-existent social life, and minimal friendships because she spent so much time in the library and in the common room either studying or reading. When it was time to pick her electives for her third year, she took Divinations, History of Magic, and Care of Magical Creatures, and soon found out that the first two out of the three were classes that she’d do horribly in. As much as Anna tried to understand the concepts behind the two, she only received Acceptables and Poors, not the Excellents and Outstandings that she was used to getting in all of the other classes that she took. However, she put forth all the effort that she could into those classes without letting her grades slip in others, and when her final marks came, she had received an Excellent in both of them.

She quit taking History of Magic and Divinations, because she thought that it was time to start thinking about the Quidditch team. Both of her parents were involved with their teams, her mother being the Ravenclaw seeker and her father being the Gryffindor keeper, so it was in her blood to do it. She tried out for the team in her fourth year, and made it, being a seeker for Gryffindor for the next three years.

After graduation from Hogwarts, she pursued her goal of becoming a healer, but quit it when she heard the news of Professor Dumbledore starting the Order of the Phoenix. It was high time that she quit doing what she dreamed of doing ever since she was in her fourth year at Hogwarts: becoming an Auror. Anna knew it was dangerous, and her life was going to always be on the line fighting off the Death Eaters, but it was going to be well worth it in the end.
