PERSONALITY

Many think that because Damien's a gay mechanic, he should be the "male" part of a relationship, but that's not the case. He's more the female part, being both loving and compassionate, more so than a male counterpart. Ever since his coming out, Damien lost most of the friends that he had, but to the few that had stuck beside him, he's fiercely loyal and would do anything for them. He's also a little bit overprotective of his younger brother, Hunter, even though he doesn’t speak to their father.

Damien is also somewhat shy and quiet when in a new social situation until he gets to know the other people in the group, but when he's around his familiar group of friends, he feels he can be himself. Because of this, it makes having new friends uneasy.

HISTORY

Damien wasn't anyone special. He was born on March 15, 1986 and had two loving parents and a younger brother by two years named Hunter. When he was twelve, he lost his mother, Ashley, due to health complications, leaving his father, Mark, to raise the two boys. He had a normal childhood, doing just okay in school but loved playing soccer, which is what most of his energy went into. When he turned eighteen, Damien came out to Mark and Hunter as being gay, and was promptly kicked out because Mark didn't believe in homosexuals. So he moved to a small flat outside of London, and did odd jobs around the neighborhood; not really having a proper job. But he loved his cars. His pride and joy was a 1976 cherry red Dodge Charger that was his dad's and who gave it to him, until he got into an accident in 2004 and totaled it. He struggled to rebuild it, because he knew nothing about cars, but when it was all finished Damien took pride in his work and knew his calling.

A few days after he finished rebuilding the car, he went to the local garage and got himself a job once he proved to his soon-to-be new boss that he knew what he was doing. He worked there for several years before his first encounter with the Doctor. It was late, and Damien was still at the garage working on a 2001 Volvo when he heard strange noises coming from the employee's area. Since he was the only one there, he went to go look what was making the noises, and found a man fiddling with a device and car parts.

Damien asked the man who he was, but only got told to shut up, as he was trying to deactivate an alien device. He knew about the aliens – a spaceship crashing into Big Ben and ghosts that were metal men, but this man? What made him so special to know about aliens?

With the Doctor – the man that Damien didn't know – frustrated, he threw down the device – what was a car part was actually alien, the Doctor would later explain – and took Damien by the hand and breaking out into a full run, led him away from the building, only moments after doing so, the building exploded.

Damien was puzzled at the Doctor, as he led them to the TARDIS, a big blue box that was bigger on the inside than the outside. He didn't know what was going on, or what was in store for him, but he knew that he was in for one hell of an adventure.
